Sunday morning spotlight: Hershey

Hershey pauses for a photo op!

Diamond

For the first time, Millie had a runt this litter.  Since it was a first for us, we were very watchful and nervous, but Diamond (named for the white spot under her neck) is very healthy, has a great personality, and keeps up with all her siblings!  She was born at half the birth weight of the rest (8 oz. to their 15-16oz.), and has stayed at that ratio since.  Developmentally she is right on track -- actually she was one of the first to walk and then to run.  Carrying less weight might have made those first steps easier!

So if you want all the benefits of the lab personality, but aren't sure you want the full lab size, Miss Diamond might be the one!

Recent pictures, as promised!

Chip (all grown up!) goes to Williamsburg

Just received this picture from Chip's family from their trip to Williamsburg.  Chip is from Millie's litter 2 summers ago.  The votes aren't in yet -- does he look like mom or dad??

A few headshots... more to come!

The puppies are really growing up!  They are now in the very playful stage, but each bit of playing means they're soon ready for a BIG nap!

Yesterday they turned six weeks, so only 2 more weeks until they go to their new homes (Sept. 6th).

These pictures are from a little photoshoot by a friend.  Naturally, we had the two inseparable puppies in their picture together.  They are affectionately called Peter and John, because as 10 year old J puts it, "they are always doing ridiculous things, and they are always off doing them together." :-)

More pictures soon to come!
